ElevenEs secures support for new megafactory in Serbia

Battery innovator ElevenEs is accelerating Europe’s energy transition with a new 1 GWh megafactory in Subotica, Serbia, following a Series B first closing backed by Caterpillar Venture Capital, Inc. and an affiliate of BST (HK) Ltd. Construction began in February 2026, with first deliveries set for 2027.

The 25 000-square-meter plant will scale proprietary LFP Edge technology for industrial vehicles, rail, marine and energy storage. Building on its 2023 pilot, ElevenEs will employ over 350 people, strengthening Europe’s battery supply chain with cobalt- and nickel-free cells and lower-carbon manufacturing. The investment marks a pivotal step in positioning Serbia as a growing hub for advanced battery innovation and industrial electrification.
