Festo Production opens new testing lab facility in Sofia

Bulgaria’s Festo Production, part of German automation technology supplier Festo, has invested more than BGN 500 000 in a testing and calibrating laboratory it just opened in Sofia. Spanning over 943 square meters, the laboratory employs 17 staff working on high-tech products in the fields of electric automation, pneumatic supply, pneumatic controls, life sciences technology and electromagnetic compatibility. The new facility enables Festo’s operations in Bulgaria to transform from a production-only to a high-tech R&D business, stated Festo Production’s Managing director Kaloyan Dobrev.
