WIN – World of Industry, the leading industry event of the Eurasian Region, closed its doors on March 2nd with the same high-level results like the previous year. Fair welcomed a total of 1.408 direct exhibitors in two parts and the total visitor number at both parts was 120.673. Besides a strong interest of the domestic industrial manufacturing sector, the fair has attracted a significant number of international buyers not only from neighboring countries but also from all over Europe, the Far-Middle East and America.
Over 50.000 sq. m net exhibition area
Organized at the same location, the state of the art TUYAP Fair, Convention and Congress Center, WIN was the central venue for seven sectors of the manufacturing industry, where the innovations, latest technologies and solutions were showcased to an international mix of audience.
The fair hosted a total of 197 direct international exhibitors coming from 15 countries in part 1 and 19 in part 2. Besides the official German pavilion with more than 50 companies, country pavilions from Spain, South Korea, Netherlands, Italy, China, German federal state of Hessian and Lower Saxony as well as an international pavilion increased the dynamism of the fair by offering new business contacts in a global market.
High level international visitors
The number of well qualified visitors coming from 70 countries (65 in 2007), was the main reason of exhibitors’ decision to come back next year. Especially the strong increase in the number of international visitors has contributed to the high satisfaction of all participants in WIN 2008. With support of more than 40 national and international associations as well as chambers of commerce from the neighboring countries, trade delegations and visitors came to the fair to strengthen their business relations with numerous producers and suppliers from Turkey and all over the world.
Successful fair organization in two parts continues
The organization of the fair in two parts continued this year too, bringing together 7 interrelated sectors of industrial production under one roof.
From 7 to 10 February, the first part welcomed exhibitors of MACHINERY’08 (13th Machine Components and Metal Working Fair), WELDING’08 (8th Joining, Welding and Cutting Technologies Fair), SURFACE TECHNOLOGY’08 (2nd Surface Treatment Technologies Fair) and MATERIALS HANDLING’08 (7th Materials Handling and Logistics Fair) fairs.
The first part welcomed thousands of professionals from all over the world and neighboring countries. The show proved once again to be an indispensable meeting place in the Eurasian Region with the exhibiting companies and represented brands as well as supporting companies. In 10 halls dedicated to the four manufacturing sectors of machinery, welding, surface treatment and materials handling, this year’s fair hosted 602 exhibitors from 15 countries, which showcased their latest technologies on a net area of 25.184 sq. m. As a result of intensive national and international promotion campaigns, 46.776 visitors from 47 countries found out about the latest trends and innovations of the relevant industries at the show.
Another highlight of the first part was the
NRW Forum
organized by the business partner for WIN Part 1 German State of North Rhine Westphalia.
