Welding equipment manufacturer Gedik Holding to open plant in Eastern Europe

Turkey’s Gedik Holding, specialized in welding equipment manufacturing, plans to open a production site in Eastern Europe and is currently considering Bulgaria and Romania in particular. Board chairman Hulya Gedik commented that after the group evaluated opportunities in both countries, at the moment Bulgaria has an advantage as a future investment destination for the company.

In 2016, the municipality of Kardzhali announced that Gedik Holding plans to open a plant for welding electrodes there. At a meeting with the Kardzhali’s mayor Hasan Azis, Hulia Gedik enquired about the opportunity to build a production base covering an area of 2000 square meters, the municipal authorities reported at the time.
