Turkiye`s Appsilon Enterprise considers building new plant in Plovdiv

Turkish diamond manufacturing startup Appsilon Enterprise is exploring an investment opportunity in Bulgaria and is considering the country’s second-largest city of Plovdiv as a potential site for its production plant.

The company is expected to make a decision on the plant’s location by the end of this year and begin production by the end of 2024. Upon completion the project will create about a hundred jobs. Appsilon Enterprise is a startup specializing in lab-created diamonds, recreating the natural process of growing single-crystal diamonds. Aside from their application in jewellery, diamonds are also used in chip manufacturing, quantum sensors, optics and detectors for high-tech sectors. Netherlands-headquartered Appsilon Enterprise has offices in the Dutch city of Delft and Turkiye’s Istanbul.
