TiTE x IHT earns international carbon footprint certification

The Taiwan International Tools & Hardware Expo (TiTE) x International Hardware Expo Taiwan (IHT), jointly organized by the Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers´ Association (THTMA) and Lanza International Co., Ltd., has officially obtained ISO 14067 Carbon Footprint International Certification for its 2025 edition. The achievement comes as the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) accelerates and global procurement increasingly prioritizes low-carbon solutions and supply chain resilience.

The certification was awarded following an independent audit process and represents a significant milestone in the green transformation of Taiwan’s industrial exhibition and manufacturing sectors. According to the organizers, the certification strengthens the exhibition’s position as a platform supporting sustainable development and enhances the global competitiveness of Taiwan’s benchmark hardware industry trade fair.

International recognition for sustainable exhibition management

At the certification presentation ceremony, Mr. Da-Ling Shi, Deputy Economic Counselor of the International Trade Administration (TITA), Ministry of Economic Affairs, delivered remarks and presented the certificate. The certification was accepted on behalf of the organizers by Ms. Genny Chiang, Director of Lanza International Co., Ltd.

According to the organizer, Lanza International Co., Ltd., this international credential is the outcome of the team´s meticulous, cross-year verification process spanning pre-show planning, on-site data monitoring, and post-show data audits. It signifies that TiTE x IHT fully complies with international environmental standards at the exhibition level and demonstrates the organizers´ dedication to guiding Taiwan’s smart manufacturing supply chain toward minimizing the environmental impact of commercial trade activities, helping local manufacturers secure a competitive edge in the global decarbonization wave.

Set for record scale

Building on the momentum of its inaugural edition, the 2026 TiTE x IHT will be held from October 20 to 22 at the Taichung International Convention and Exhibition Center (TICEC). Supported by central Taiwan’s cluster of precision machinery and hardware manufacturers, the event is expected to attract up to 500 exhibitors and feature more than 1000 booths. Organizers anticipate it will become the largest and most comprehensive hardware industry exhibition held in Taichung.

Under the theme "From Manufacturing to Co-Creation | AI Empowerment • Smart Upgrade", the exhibition will showcase hand tools, fasteners, and building hardware alongside automation equipment, AI collaborative robots, low-carbon materials, and energy-efficient manufacturing processes. The event aims to provide buyers with access to solutions covering design, precision machining, carbon footprint tracking, and green delivery.

Connecting global buyers with Taiwan’s manufacturing network

TiTE x IHT promotes an "Exhibition as Factory, Sourcing as Decision-Making" model that enables international buyers to review product specifications at the exhibition and visit nearby manufacturing facilities within 24 hours for factory audits and production capacity assessments. Organizers believe this approach helps shorten sourcing cycles and reduce procurement decision-making costs. To further support international participation, registration for the 2026 exhibition and applications for the International Buyer Accommodation Subsidy are now open.

The subsidy program targets major distribution channels and key procurement representatives from Europe, North America, and emerging markets. It includes accommodation support and one-on-one business matchmaking services intended to help companies identify sourcing opportunities in Asia more efficiently.

Strong market interest drives early reservations

According to the organizers, more than 70% of exhibition space has already been reserved. With remaining premium booth locations filling quickly, professional buyers, distributors, and industry representatives are encouraged to register early for the 2026 event and explore Taiwan’s green smart manufacturing capabilities.
