The 2026 Taiwan International Tools & Hardware Expo x International Hardware Expo Taiwan (TiTE x IHT), one of Asia’s leading trade shows for hardware and tools, will take place from October 20 to 22 at the Taichung International Convention and Exhibition Center (TICEC). The event is co-organized by the Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers’ Association (THTMA) and Lanza International Co., Ltd. This year’s edition will bring together 450 exhibitors across more than 1000 booths. Despite ongoing uncertainty in global markets, the organizers have expanded their international outreach, securing more than 100 hosted international buyers – the largest delegation in the show’s history. More than 25 international trade media outlets are also expected to attend and cover the event.

International outreach expands, with strong demand from North America

In response to new sourcing opportunities created by changes in global supply chains, Lanza International significantly expanded its overseas promotion this year. The company exhibited at trade shows across Europe and Asia while also extending its buyer outreach to the Americas. In Europe, the team participated in the International Hardware Fair Cologne, the Global DIY Summit in Amsterdam and Automechanika Frankfurt. In Asia, it attended the Japan DIY Homecenter Show, the China International Hardware Show in Shanghai and Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City, where it met distributors, brand owners and importers.

The hosted buyers attending this year’s TiTE x IHT come from five continents. North America, led by the United States, represents the largest share of the delegation, reflecting continued sourcing demand from the U.S. market. The delegation also includes buyers from key markets such as Germany and Japan, as well as emerging markets in Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Relations with Japan have also strengthened. TiTE x IHT has established a reciprocal exchange with the Japan DIY Homecenter Show, creating closer links between the hardware and home improvement retail sectors in Taiwan and Japan. Mitsuki Takeda, Vice Chairman of the Japan DIY Homecenter Association, will attend the opening ceremony and give a keynote address at the Global Hardware Innovation Summit.

From the exhibition floor to production lines in 20 minutes

Taichung is a major center of Taiwan’s hardware and hand tool manufacturing. Within a 20-minute drive of the exhibition venue, buyers can access a complete supply chain covering material processing, forging, heat treatment, surface finishing and final assembly across the wider Taichung-Changhua-Nantou industrial belt. The region’s network of small and medium-sized manufacturers combines flexibility for high-mix, low-volume production with consistent quality and reliable delivery, supporting long-term cooperation with international brands.

TiTE x IHT uses this industrial network through its "Exhibition as Factory" model. Buyers can confirm product specifications on the exhibition floor in the morning and visit production facilities in the afternoon, where they can examine quality control procedures and delivery capabilities. This allows supplier evaluation to be carried out within a single day instead of requiring weeks of cross-border visits and assessment

Sourcing meetings begin one day before the exhibition

On October 19, one day before the exhibition opens, the International Trade Administration of Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (ITA), with TAITRA as the executing agency, will organize one-on-one sourcing meetings between nearly 60 international buyers and Taiwanese suppliers. The meetings will cover hardware components, plumbing fixtures and hand tools.

On the following day, buyers will be able to visit the TiTE x IHT exhibition floor as well as nearby factories, bringing together supplier meetings, product sourcing and factory audits within the same trip. Taking place immediately after the Canton Fair, the event also provides a convenient next stop for buyers already sourcing products in Asia. The organizers expect both domestic and international trade attendance to reach a new high this year.

From manufacturing resilience to co-creation

The signing of the Taiwan-U.S. reciprocal trade agreement has placed Taiwan on equal footing with Japan, South Korea and the European Union, strengthening the export competitiveness of its hand tool, plumbing and machinery industries.

Last year, TiTE x IHT was the first international trade show held at the newly opened TICEC, under the theme "Team Taiwan – Building New Resilience in Taiwanese Manufacturing". This year, the focus shifts from resilience to co-creation with the theme "From Manufacturing to Co-Creation: AI Empowerment & Smart Upgrading". The organizers aim to encourage Taiwanese manufacturers to go beyond supplying products and work with international partners on their development, while adopting AI and smart manufacturing technologies to create greater value.

The exhibition will cover eight zones, including tools and accessories, metalworking, automotive repair and EVs, fasteners and digital manufacturing. It will also continue to follow its green exhibition standards under ISO 14067 product carbon footprint certification.

"Through tariff negotiations, overseas expansion, and shifting order patterns, Taiwanese manufacturers have continued to win customers on the strength of their technology and reliability, and global confidence in Taiwan´s supply chain has only grown stronger," said Alan Hsieh, Chairman of the Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers´ Association. "We are especially grateful to the International Trade Administration for organizing the pre-show sourcing meetings. The Association will continue to support our members in smart manufacturing and low-carbon transformation, and in co-developing higher-value products with international partners."

"Today´s buyers want more than a look at products. They want to evaluate suppliers and make sourcing decisions as efficiently as possible," said Andrew Liu, General Manager of Lanza International Co., Ltd. "This year, our team visited six major trade shows and extended our outreach to the Americas to introduce buyers to Taichung´s industrial strengths. Together with the Association, we are committed to making Taichung the first stop for global buyers sourcing Taiwanese hardware."

TiTE x IHT invites hardware distributors, brand owners, importers and other trade professionals from around the world to register for free admission and attend the event in Taichung from October 20 to 22.
