Türkiye positions MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 as a global industrial hub

Türkiye is sharpening its ambition to become a central meeting point for global manufacturing players, with MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 emerging as a flagship platform in that strategy. The event has been formally recognized as a "Prestigious Fair" by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, a designation reserved for exhibitions deemed strategically significant to the country’s trade and export agenda. The recognition elevates MAKTEK Eurasia beyond a traditional trade show, positioning it as a nationally endorsed industrial showcase with growing international weight.

Scheduled for September 28 – October 3, 2026, the 9th International MAKTEK Eurasia Fair will be held at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul. The exhibition is organized by Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. in cooperation with Machine Tools Industrialists and Business Association (TIAD) and supported by Turkish Machine Manufacturers Association (MIB).

State-backed incentives for exhibitors

The "Prestigious Fair" status carries tangible financial benefits for participating companies. Eligible firms operating in Türkiye can receive state support covering up to 50% of approved participation expenses, including stand construction, floor space rental and decoration costs.

Applications for the subsidy program must be submitted through the government’s Support Management System (DYS) within three months of the fair’s conclusion. The process is managed by the Central Anatolian Exporters’ Associations (OAIB) rather than the event organizer.

Industry representatives say the backing not only reduces costs for exhibitors but also strengthens the event’s credibility in global markets.

Strong demand signals record-breaking edition

Even before its doors open, MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 is demonstrating exceptional momentum. During the first 45 days of early-bird sales, more than 70% of the exhibition space was booked.

Organizers report that all 14 halls of the venue are expected to be fully occupied. Demand continues to outpace supply, with 44 international and 171 domestic companies currently on the waiting list. Requests for more than 10 000 additional square meters of exhibition space are under review.

The figures reflect both high exhibitor retention and an expanding base of new participants, reinforcing the fair’s status as one of Eurasia’s leading gatherings for machine tools and production technologies.

A new "Guest of Honor Country" model

Looking to deepen cross-border collaboration, the 2026 edition will introduce a "Guest of Honor Country" initiative. Each year, a selected strategic partner nation will be spotlighted through dedicated networking platforms, sectoral programs and high-level diplomatic engagement.

Negotiations are underway with a major European industrial ecosystem to serve as the inaugural partner country. Organizers say further details will be announced in the coming months.
