Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Exhibitions of Via Expo in 2013
The next year’s editions of the international exhibitions EE & RE (energy efficiency and renewables), Smart Cities, Save the Planet (waste management and recycling), and LiftBalkans (elevators and escalators), organized by Via Expo, will be held on April 5-7, 2016 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Being among the leading initiatives in South-East Europe, the specialized Exhibitions and Conferences of Via Expo will become again in 2016 a meeting point between global players and local partners in the cleantech and sustainability sectors.
Focusing on energy saving, alternative energy sources, smart urban development, waste and recycling innovations, the Forum also plays a significant role for attracting foreign investments in these fields.
The 2016 Edition
At the upcoming editions of the events many up-to-dated products will be showcased. The organizers expect a strong international presence. For 7th year in a row Austria will be a long-term supporting partner. Austrian Pavilion and Italian Group Participation will be realized at the exhibitions.
Among the visitors to be invited are: CEOs, decision makers, investors, consultants and experts from different sectors. The thematic range of the events includes: practice-oriented topics, case studies and discussions on district heating, insulation innovations, geothermal energy, energy and mobility in smart cities, planning sustainable cities, circular economy package, the role of bio- and plastic waste for the achieving a resource-efficient society. The exhibitions are expected to be visited by many CEOs, decision makers, investors, consultants and experts from public authorities and different sectors.
The Events in 2015
In 2015 there were 120 exhibitors from 18 countries. 42% of the exhibitors came from abroad. There were also over 4100 visitors from 37 countries.
52 speakers from 15 countries and a total of 227 attendees from 23 countries participated in the conferences. The events got marketing & PR promotion support from: 110 associations from 21 countries and media partners: 84 magazines and websites from 24 countries.
”It can be definitely resumed that the SEE Exhibitions & Conferences assist for the environmental progress in the Bulgaria and the Region through presenting good practices and relevant know-how for their implementation. There are very good prerequisites for energy, environment, transport and construction sectors, coming from the recently adopted OP ”Environment”, OP ”Regions in Growth”, OP ”Transport and Transport Infrastructure” and OP ”Innovations and Competitiveness” by the European Commission with 6.36 billion EUR. The programs envisage important investments which will make the local economy more sustainable and competitive”, the organizers from Via Expo stated.
Highlights
The EE & RE Exhibition 2015 has put on display a great set of existing energy technologies as it was a starting point for the launch of innovative products. Its aim was to stimulate the development of energy market in South-East Europe through technology transfer.
The Smart Cities Exhibition & Conference 2015 presented new technologies which transformed today’s cities into sustainable systems spending less energy and resources. The number of exhibitors was doubled. Distance street lighting management system, LED illuminators, Wi-Fi technologies, mobile ticketing service for public transport, ultra-compact electric vehicle, ’Smart House’ software, etc. caught the visitors’ interest.
The 2015 edition of Save the Planet proved its position as one of the business platforms in Bulgaria and South-East Europe. It presented new technologies covering the whole process of waste management: treatment, transport, collection, disposal, recovery and recycling.
LiftBalkans is a timely support of the vertical industry in South-East Europe. Its aim is to speed up the well-needed modernization of the stock of old lifts in the Region by presenting the latest products and services. As the only business event in this sector in Bulgaria, the biennial event LiftBalkans provides favorable opportunities for direct meetings between industry players.
