South East European trade fair for the packaging industry PackExpo 2016

PackExpo 2016, the most visited exhibition for the packaging industry in South Eastern Europe, will be held at Romexpo in Bucharest, Romania from 27 to 30 September this year. PackExpo is the only South East European exhibition for the packaging industry and it attracts more than 10 000 clients per year. This edition of the forum will present new technologies and production machinery, and will include discussions on cross-cutting issues in the business of packaging.
The business of packaging has reached sales of 600 billion dollars already, and its profit is forecasted to grow to 1 trillion dollars by the end of 2020. South Eastern Europe is on the fourth place on the world market for the packaging industry, following the three main leading regions Asia, North America, and Western Europe.
The packaging industry in South Eastern Europe is also helped financially by the European Union with 454 billion euro allocated for the development of the industry within the period between 2014 and 2020. PackExpo 2016 is expected to be the meeting place of many clients and exhibitors during the next month.
PackExpo 2016 will cover about 20 local markets and will introduce innovations and solutions in the technology for the packaging industry, including packaging solutions, labelling for the food industry, labeling for the beverage industry. It will also present new solutions in the packaging of products of cosmetics, fashion, design, electronics, furniture and decoration.
The trade exhibition PackExpo will be the platform for presenting innovations in the packaging industry and for forming wide reaching business relations. It will provide the registered and exhibited companies a network of over 10,000 visitors, who specialize in the targeted industries.
Along with that, the website of PackExpo 2016 provides additional visibility for trading and business relations once exhibitors register for the trade fair. PackExpo usually enables the communication and cooperation of specialists from Bulgaria, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, Greece, Albania, Slovenia, Croatia. The event is a helpful informational source for the companies to gain awareness of the business climate of South Eastern Europe and meet with the top decision makers and buyers in the field.
The main target industries at PackExpo 2016 will be Food and Drinks, Pharma and Cosmetics, and some other industries such as Electronics, Furniture Decorations, IT, Clothes & Footwear, Toys and Industrial Packaging. The Food and Drinks sector will include the sub-sectors bakery, water and sodas, alcoholic beverages, dairy products, fruits & vegetables, cereals & seeds, meat & seafood, precooked and frozen & fresh products.
The Pharma and Cosmetics sector will include the following sub-sectors: chemicals for home use, cosmetics, body line products, soaps, pharmacy products, home use products, and other chemicals. It will also include the section Raw Materials, presenting materials from paper and cardboard, plastic, metal, glass, wood, ceramics, composite materials and textiles.
Some of the exhibition categories of PackExpo 2016 will be equipment for packaging production, machinery for dosing, filling and packaging, equipment for sanitary packaging, conveyors, complete packaging lines and machines, logistics and storage, labels, packaging design and packaging recycle, research and design, software solutions for the production and packaging process, etc.
One of the aims of PackExpo 2016, along with the introduction of new technology and innovation, will be bringing awareness of the need for solutions in terms of wasting food. In a side event the organizers of PackExpo 2016 will try to bring together suppliers, food and package producers alongside Romanian government officials to deal with such demanding issues as wasting food and ecology.
PackExpo 2016 will be organized by Romexpo and Euroexpo Fairs. Some of its partners include Ulma (a packaging systems company) and The International Forum on Print Efficiency and Quality (inPEQ).
