Siplace X-series wins "iF product design award" and "reddot design award"
The new Siplace X-platform - co-designed by the Siemens subsidiary designafairs, Munich, Germany - convinced the juries of the international IF product design and reddot design competitions in every respect. This is proven by the recent successes in the international iF product design and reddot design competitions.
For 2005, the "iF product design award" received more than 2,300 submissions from 31 countries. There are 12 categories, with the Siplace X-series winning one of the coveted awards in the Industrial Design category. The experts on the jury under the chairmanship of Fritz Frenkler evaluated not only the form and function of products, but also their ergonomics and use of environmentally friendly materials and processes.
The jurors of the "reddot design award" confirmed these outstanding features of the SIPLACE X-series. This year they looked at more than 1,900 submissions. The red dot design award ranks among the largest design competitions worldwide. The coveted trophy is the red dot, the international seal of quality for outstanding design.
