Siemens Bulgaria is a leading provider of innovative products, technologies and solutions in the industry, energy, healthcare and infrastructure. Its business activities are focused on the areas of electrification, automation and digitalization. The company currently has 500 employees in the country.
Siemens is represented in Bulgaria since the end of the 19th century. In early 1991, Siemens restored its tradition to be directly presented in the country and created its own representative office in Sofia, which presented the main directions of the company. In October 1998, a subsidiary company of the Siemens concern in Bulgaria was registered - Siemens EOOD.
The company’s activity includes: manufacturing of equipment for transformers, energy engineering, industrial engineering and medical engineering solutions.
Siemens is a multinational conglomerate, the largest European based electronics and electrical engineering company. It chose Bulgaria for the home of its engineering outsourcing centers for house automation systems and conventional energy sources, servicing 12 countries.
The key activities and products manufactured in Bulgaria include: ingredients for high tension measure transformers used in the energy sector, high voltage electrical engineering components for the electric industry, automation and control devices used in manufacturing industry, engineering solutions, etc.
