Schneider Electric is among the world leaders in electric distribution products and industrial automation. It was established in Bulgaria in 1999, today operating two manufacturing facilities.
The company’s activities include: manufacturing of electric distribution products, renewable energy, industrial automation.
The French multinational company Schneider Electric - leader in energy savings, electric distribution products and industrial automation, employs more than 100 000 people in 130 countries. In 2010 the revenues of the Bulgarian operations of the company are in excess of 50 million euro.
The Bulgarian operation was the first in the world to manufacture the company’s energy saving timers and switches. The first manufacturing facility in Bulgaria started in 1999 but the company had commercial presence in Bulgaria since 1990. Currently Schneider Electric Bulgaria operates manufacturing facilities in Perushtitsa and Plovdiv. The Plovdiv facility was built in 2007 and expanded in 2008.
Schneider Electric has sales and service offices in Varna, Burgas and Ruse. 60% of the components used in the Bulgarian manufacturing are supplied by local companies.
Among the key products manufactured in Bulgaria are: energy saving electric switches used in the energy sector and manufacturing industry PLCs, buttons, sensors with application in manufacturing , energy and transport industries, energy saving timers.
