Interview with Erol Yenici,
PCB Production Manager of CANOVATE Elektronik

Mr. Yenici, please present shortly the CANOVATE Group and the business of the companies in the group?

Who are the main markets for either the Cabinets and for the PCBs you produce?

Telecommunications, Internet, Networking, Industrial Electronics, Consumer Electronics industries, TV manufactures, Military, Automotive, etc.

Western & Central Europe (France, Germany, UK, Benelux), Russia, Balkans (Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia), Israel, Middle East and North Africa.

What is the ratio between your export and the domestic sales of Cabinets and for the PCBs? Who are the main export destinations for both product groups?

For cabinets the export is 85% of the sales and domestic sales are 15%. For PCBs the export is 42% and domestic sales are 58%.

Our main export destinations for both PCBs and cabinets are: Germany, Holland, UK, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Egypt, Israel, Tunisia and Russia.

Who is the biggest export market for your PCBs and Cabinets, speaking for South-Eastern Europe and worldwide?

At the moment in Southeastern Europe those are Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine for Cabinets, and for PCBs – Germany.

According to you, what is the importance in general of quality policy for a producer from South-East European country?

We will supply defect-free products and services, which conform to clearly defined requirements to meet the needs of our customers, employees and others we serve.

According to you, what are the benefits and the negatives of being a manufacturer in South-Eastern Europe?

The Positives are: Low labor cost, Transport advantages to western Europe and Middleeastq Customs union with the EU.

The main negative is the countries’ image.

What are CANOVATE’s plans for future development in the region of South-Eastern Europe?

Our goal is to expand and assign distributors to neighbouring countries like Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia.
