Japanese Marubeni interested in investment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Representatives of the Japanese corporation Marubeni from its businesses in the Czech Republic and Romania visited the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) in Bosnia and Herzegovina and met with the director of the institution Gordan Milinic.

Marubeni operates in the field of agriculture, chemical industry, energy and metal sector, construction of power plants, transportation and mechanical industry and is interested in major energy projects (thermal, hydro, and wind projects) available in Bosnia and Herzegovina, or major projects in the water sector and the environment.

Director Milinic informed the investors on the major projects owned by public companies, private companies’ projects, as well as the conditions for investing and the status of foreign investors in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The available projects and detailed information about them were presented to the Japanese representatives during the meeting. Gordan Milinic stressed the importance of establishing direct contact between investors and owners or holders of projects, and that FIPA will provide all necessary assistance.
