The ITT Corporation, a leading supplier of water pumps and pumping systems for the global market, already established in Poland with its subsidiary Lowara Vogel Polska Sp.z o.o., announced the forthcoming building of a production facility, located in the Special Economic Zone of Walbrzych, under the Municipality of Strzelin.

Highlighting the strategic importance of this investment, Gretchen McClain, President of ITT’s Residential and Commercial Water Business, said: “The new facility will enhance our service level to our customers in the developing water market segments in Poland and will also serve as a platform for the supply of our pumps & systems to the neighbouring markets in Eastern and Western Europe and our customers around the world.”

The agreement for the purchase of a 60.000 square meters lot of land, upon which the new plant is to be built, was signed at the Municipality of Strzelin on September 19, 2006 and the contract for the erection of the facility has already been awarded to the construction company.

This facility will initially occupy around 8.000 square meters of covered surface and employ 100 workers by the end of 2007. It will produce a progressively increasing range of products branded Lowara for the residential & commercial building services as well as for the agricultural and irrigation sectors. Shipments are expected to start in the last quarter of 2007.
