Expo Plast 2023 to examine key trends in the plastics processing industry

Expo Plast, the only business and networking platform in Romania for the plastics processing industry, will take place between 14 and 17th November 2023 in Redal Expo, Sibiu. This year’s edition approaches the latest industry trends and supports them with many practical solutions, innovative technologies, equipment, and concrete products for the circular economy’s transition, states organizer EUROEXPO.

Visitors of Expo Plast 2023 will be able to get themselves acquainted with the latest in the fields of plastic products, equipment and machines for processing plastics, polymers, raw materials and auxiliaries for the plastics processing industry, technical articles made of plastics and rubber and equipment and machinery for plastic recycling.

“With a steady and predictable growth of 3,9% projected until 2030, the specialists’ plastics processing industry estimates indicate a global market stabilization, after a long period of turbulence. After a 4-year hiatus, we look again with optimism at industry trends, technologies, and the concepts behind plastic injection technologies, which emphasize short delivery times and increased customization levels. The plastics processing industry will evolve in 2023 thanks to these technologies, external trends, and customer needs” says organizer EUROEXPO.

Seven key trends to watch out for this year according to EUROEXPO include sustainability, net zero carbon footprint, digitalization, automation, bioplastics, composite materials and light-weight plastic products. “Both producers and consumers want products as light as possible because they mean cost reductions with transport and storage – in the aerospace sector. In the medical sector, lighter implantable devices can lead to less invasive surgeries and improved recovery rates for patients. For the electronics sector, lighter and smaller components often mean space gained for design and improved performance”, comments EUROEXPO.
