Elma Electronic has officially launched construction of a new EUR 15 million industrial hub in Timisoara, Romania – its largest in Europe. The groundbreaking ceremony welcomed Timis County officials, local business leaders, academic partners, and community members.

Elma board members Selina Casutt and Bruno Cathomen joined CEO Thomas Herrmann, CFO Frederic Mueller, and the Swiss management team for the event. The 12 000+ square meter facility will include a modern production hall, storage, and offices, and will manufacture electronic components and rotary switches. Serving sectors such as defense, aviation, rail, telecom, and medical, the hub supports Elma’s growth strategy amid rising demand for rugged, advanced embedded computing solutions in Europe.
