At the end of 2021, Continental employed over 17 500 people in its engineering centres and production facilities in Romania, compared to 20 100 at the end of 2020. The difference is due to the separation of the Powertrain division from the Continental group in 2019. The division was renamed to Vitesco Technologies.
Continental Romania has six production units and four engineering centers - in Timisoara, Sibiu, Carei, Nadab, Brasov and Iasi. The company also has a tire distribution center in Bucharest.
