A global agreement to provide all standard and advanced keyboards in the Cherry 14000 Series with biometric authentication capabilities, has been signed between Cherry Electrical Products and Flexagonal systems. For use specifically with Cherry’s FingerTip ID biometric series, Flexagonal’s biometric security software addresses all network and remote access control needs including the use of fingerprints and smart card. The tools prevent the abuse and inherent insecurity of passwords which are usually chosen for their brevity and ease of recall - thus making them relatively easy to crack, says the company.
