Amphenol expands North Macedonia capacity

Amphenol Technology Macedonia, a subsidiary of the U.S.-based Amphenol Corporation, announced the construction of a new facility in Kocani, which is projected to generate 200 new jobs. According to the company’s general manager, Sasko Nakov, who spoke at a government-streamed press conference, the facility is expected to be ready for equipment installation by the end of September, with operations starting shortly after.

Nakov also revealed plans for a second facility to be built in 2026, which would add another 300 – 320 jobs. The company currently employs around 3200 people at its Kocani locations. The total investment value was not disclosed.

Amphenol Technology Macedonia was founded in 2013 by Connecticut-based Amphenol Corporation, a global manufacturer of electronic and fiber optic connectors, cables, and interconnect systems.
