A gateway to German and regional value chains
"AHK Metal Summit is a platform for concrete dialogue between industry, institutions, and international partners. Germany´s metal and electrical industry, with an annual turnover of EUR 1,39 trillion, represents a central pillar of production and exports. Our goal is to enable companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region to better integrate into these value chains and further develop business ties with partners from Germany and the region. The regional character of the Summit is further reflected in the participation of speakers and companies from Germany, Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Kosovo," said Azra Ramić, Deputy Director of the German Foreign Trade Chamber in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Director of DEinternational d.o.o.
The Summit´s agenda will feature panel discussions, keynote presentations, and networking activities centered on some of the industry´s most pressing topics – supply chain resilience and transformation, energy efficiency as a driver of competitiveness, and the future of the automotive industry, including the specific opportunities it presents for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
A sector at the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina´s economy
The metal sector holds a central place in the Bosnian economy, spanning raw material extraction and processing through to the production of high-precision components for construction, mechanical engineering, energy, and the automotive industry. In 2025, the sector recorded exports worth BAM 7,31 billion, underscoring its significance for industrial production, employment, and economic growth. Germany ranks among Bosnia and Herzegovina´s most important trading partners, with long-standing cooperation in the metal sector built on trust, quality, and reliability – making the AHK Metal Summit a natural forum for deepening those ties further.
