With 30,000 visitors and a 50% increase in foreign trade visitors, this was the biggest event in DETROP history.
This year, the 18th DETROP 2005 International Exhibition of Food – Beverages – Machinery & Equipment achieved a 25% increase in the number of visitors. At the same time, there was a significant 50% increase in the number of foreign trade visitors, who numbered 665, as compared to 432 last year; this reinforces the international character of the exhibition, which is the largest such exhibition event in the country and in South-Eastern Europe.
High visitability, quality visitors, new HELEXPO services, numerous and significant satellite events and a new perception of the event, which, thanks to the contribution of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, became a city feast, ensured absolute exhibitor and trade visitor satisfaction, rendering the exhibition the most successful and effective in the sector. During the exhibition, many important business meetings took place, both within the framework of ExpoPartenariat and in the form of direct business contacts, which set the foundations for new, profitable cooperation schemes.
In total, 30,098 people visited the 18th DETROP, as compared to 26,067 during the previous event; this year’s visitors came from the whole of Greece and 27 other countries, namely: Albania, Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, FYROM, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia-Montenegro, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America.
This year’s DETROP was recorded as the largest in history, with a 17% increase in exhibition space and a 24.5% increase in the number of direct exhibitors.
