From 16 to 19 March 2005, pavilion 18 of the Bucharest International Fair Romexpo Exhibition Centre two specialised exhibitions took place — Romcontrola, an international exhibition of measurement and control instruments and apparatus, and Romenvirotec-SEP, an international exhibition of equipment and technologies for environmental protection. For the first time, the event was organised by Romexpo in partnership with the famous Italian fair and exhibition organiser Padova Fiere Spa.
Within 14th edition of International exhibition of measurement and control instruments and apparatus Romcontrola, 167 companies participated (66 from Romania and 101 from abroad). In the international exhibition of equipment and technologies for environmental protection Romenvirotec-SEP participated 57 companies, of which 33 from Romania and 24 from abroad. Based on organizers data there is an increase comparing of 2004: participation of major exhibitors: 256 per cent; exhibition area: 400 per cent.
“I dare say our company numbers among the veterans of Romcontrola, which is why I tend to choose a different approach of the participant companies, and a different addressability as regards the visitors", said Dragos Ofrim, D. Sc., General Manager, InterNET S.R.L.
“The genuine technological performance - to which Romania is committed and which it has to cope with in order to have a chance to attract foreign investors or technological capital - is represented by the achievements of these economic actors that I dare define as international", he added. “The 2006, and mostly the 2007 Romcontrola should focus on these new economic entities. I expect a beneficial changeover in terms of visitors and specialists structure that is much more oriented to hi-tech. We, the exhibitors, need ever more young specialists in our stands, who should be much closer to us and eager to absorb worldwide technological performance. It is our intention to focus, ever more, on the future of technology in Romania."
